Panasonic UK - Lightweight, rugged laptops designed for the construction industry
New Panasonic Toughbook Executive notebooks combine design
and construction excellence making them ideal for the building
industry
This year sees Panasonic setting new standards in the
ultraportable laptop sector with the Toughbook Executive laptop
range. With their rugged, yet ultra-light magnesium casing, long
battery life and large hard drive, the Toughbook Executive
laptops provide a robust, reliable solution for those in the
building and construction industry who are constantly on the
move.
The new Toughbook Executive models – available for the first
time over the internet – offer a reliable and slim-line notebook
that performs in the most demanding environments.
Each stylish notebook is encased in a high quality magnesium
casing, meaning they are both compact and elegant, yet boast
increased robustness. The notebooks can resist an impressive
array of knocks, bumps and vibrations – they can even be dropped
from 30cm – and can also tolerate a pressure of up to 100kg.
The CF-T5 incorporates a touch screen display and hand strap,
ensuring ease of use when on the move. The CF-W5 and CF-Y5
models, meanwhile, contain integrated DVD-ROM and CD-R/RW combo
drives. In addition, the CF-Y5 features a 14.1" SXGA colour
display and is protected against water damage – a full 200ml
glass of water spilled over the keyboard and touchpad leaves the
notebook unscathed
Key features of the Toughbook Executive models are:
§ Ultra-light weight, semi-ruggedized construction
§ Wi-Fi capability
§ Integrated wireless antennae
§ Extended battery option: the CF-W5, CF-T5 and CF-Y5
batteries can last us to 12, 15 and 8.5 hours respectively
§ 60 GB hard drive
§ Secure data transfer with a speed of 1.8 Megabits per
second
§ Intel® Centrino technology, with an Intel Core Solo
Processor
Despite these rugged features, the CF-W5 weighs only 1260g, the
CF-T5 only 1510g and the CF-Y5 only 1530g, making these
Toughbooks ideal business and leisure tools for everyone who
demands portability without compromising on protection.
