Leax Lighting Controls take their place at the new National Self Build and Renovation Centre
Leax Lighting Controls has taken a permanent exhibition space
at the pioneering new National Self Build & Renovation Centre,
near Swindon. Leax will be located in the Innovation section of
the Centre’s Trade Village, which features products and services
covering everything needed to build or renovate your home.
Britain’s growing legion of self builders are recognising that
quality lighting design and control will complement and enhance
their home. Coupled with this is the fact that installing a LEAX
4x4 lighting control can help extend lamp life.
Caro Hill, Director at Leax Lighting Controls comments “We are
really excited about having a presence at the National Self
Build and Renovation Centre. Leax has helping in the design of
home lighting projects for years. It is great to have the
opportunity to bring that expertise now direct to the consumer,
face to face.
Lighting is the quickest way to transform a space and as our
living environments become more flexible and multi-functional,
considered lighting design can be used effectively to create
ambience or drama, stimulate or alter a mood and/or used to
highlight an architectural feature.”
Leax is especially proud to be able to demonstrate the Leax 4x4
dimmer, which is the latest in state-of-the-art intelligent
lighting control. Whatever the scenario, this programmable wall
dimmer allows the homeowner to take control and set their
lighting scene at the touch of a button. This controller panel
is effectively a 4- way light switch, offering a total change of
mood and environment at the touch of a button. Best of all, it’s
British designed and built!
The new National Self Build & Renovation Centre is filled with
over 220 companies from all sectors of the self build and
renovation sector and opened in February 2007. Open throughout
the year, the Centre is perfect for everyone from prospective
new home owners to seasoned D.I.Y experts. With an estimated
20,000 people building their new homes in Britain each year,
self builders are now the country’s leading developer (source
