ISG Totty Building announces football sponsorship deal
ISG Totty Building is helping Birkby Junior School to kick
off the football season in style, with sponsorship of the team’s
brand new kit. The building contractor has strong ties with the
school after recently completing a major £1.5 million
refurbishment project and was delighted to be invited to sponsor
the new team kit, which the school secured from the Football
Foundation as part of its Junior Kit Scheme.
The football squad, comprising talented players from Year 5 and
Year 6 at Birkby Junior School, will be in action when the
season kicks off in March, with an ‘all-boys’ team playing
against local school opposition in a 5-a-side pyramid
competition. A ‘mixed’ team is expected to make a strong
challenge for the school league title this year and an
‘all-girls’ team will be major contenders when their competition
commences in September.
Birbky Junior School was recently awarded the FA Charter Mark
for its commitment to encouraging pupils to take an active
interest in football and the school is also receiving
professional assistance, with regular training sessions courtesy
of Huddersfield Town’s own football coach. Alongside its brand
new kit, lunch and after- school coaching sessions for the
school’s aspiring Premiership stars will undoubtedly have local
teams worried, with Birkby Junior School looking for a top table
finish this season.
Philip Ryder, managing director of ISG Totty Building,
commented: “As we have played such a big part in the life of the
school over the last year, we were only too pleased to support
the football team. Birkby Junior School embraces the idea that
sport should be enjoyable for pupils and has made a real
commitment to putting together a great football squad, which is
certain to be making the headlines this season.”
