ISG Jackson special projects takes retail scheme in Horsham
ISG Jackson Special Projects has commenced
work on its latest project with Morley Fund Management, a £580K
project to convert an existing retail unit in Horsham, West
Sussex. The former Focus outlet, on the outskirts of Horsham,
will be subdivided into two equal sized units, providing smaller
format and highly desirable retail accommodation in this out of
town location.
The single-storey unit will undergo significant remodelling,
with ISG Jackson Special projects removing the roof and
replacing this with a newly designed metal pitched roof system.
High level cladding panels will be removed and replaced as part
of the works, and the contractor will construct a steel frame
extension to the rear of the unit to create additional
sales/storage capacity. The shop front will be modified, with
new glazed screens and doors installed and a new perimeter fence
erected around the building. The entrance to the outlet, off
Foundary Lane, will also be enlarged to enable easier vehicular
access to the retail units and the contractor will resurface the
car park and create new bicycle parking areas.
Internally, ISG Jackson Special Projects will install a
partition wall to divide the store into two equal sized units
and demolish an existing concrete framed office structure to
provide a large open plan format within both outlets. Mechanical
and electrical services with the building will be also upgraded,
with the project scheduled for completion in June 2007.
Michael Manning, divisional director for ISG Jackson Special
Projects, commented: "The company continues to secure a strong
pipeline of opportunities with Morley Fund Management as we
build upon our successful ongoing relationship. By delivering a
responsive and consistently high quality service, ISG Jackson
Special Projects develops longstanding relationships with
clients that result in high levels of repeat business across
both public and private sectors.”
