Heald Ltd - Another Truck Bites The Dust
As part of their continuous research
programme at the Transport Research Laboratory in line with the
new British Standard PAS 68: 2007, Heald have undertaken another
test against their HCR4M1165RB, this time using an American
truck. Travelling at 84 kph, the truck didn't live to see
another day as the Roadblocker brought it to a complete halt
with nil penetration, completely obliterating the cab, front
chassis and engine bay.
Using the same blocker as in previous tests, the system
continued normal operation after removal after the sacrificial
front radius plate.
By using trucks of differing size and construction, Heald have
proved that their unique design
of Roadblocker will withstand repeated impact and still operate,
making it a formidable deterrent against potential vehicular
threat.
