Fläkt Woods Ltd - The most versatile high efficiency energy recovery system yet
New for H&V07, Fläkt Woods is launching an
upgraded Econet® energy recovery system, with changes that have
made it 70-75% efficient (50% more efficient than plate heat
exchangers) and more versatile than any HVAC system currently
available.
The difference between a system with 50% and 75% efficient
energy recovery device is a reduction in life cycle costing by
40%. This is why it is essential to have a high efficiency
energy recovery system like Econet.
Econet integrates energy recovery, heating and cooling into one
set of coils, so components, such as heating/cooling coils,
pumps, valves, piping and insulation, are no longer required.
This brings significant cost savings as well as a reduced
footprint. Advanced Econet also optimizes the energy recovery
using a new pre programmed control system, which constantly
ensures the minimum amount of energy is used to meet the air
requirements.
Energy Efficiency Improvements
Space savings and improved functionality has been achieved by
synchronising all the controls in one unit, a new controller
constantly calculates energy recovery and heating and cooling
powers. The improved Econet features more flexible communication
capabilities, and with remote functionality.
Additionally, Econet can now be supplied with a double pump
function; two pumps and two frequency inverters. If one of the
pumps fails the other one takes over; essential for
projects/applications where continuous functionality is
necessary; for example in process and pharmaceutical industries
as well as hospitals.
Due to the unique layout of Econet the configuration of the
supply air unit is simplified, so only one supply air coil is
needed instead of three. This means reduced lengths and often
reduced pressure drops in the unit. This can offer not only
savings, but smaller plant rooms leading to more lettable floor
space in office developments.
Econet is supplied with a prefabricate pump unit. All necessary
components for optimising the energy recovery as pump, frequency
inverter, controls and necessary valves and sensors are
included. This reduces installation time, saving both time and
money.
