Hornagold & Hills delivers £30m King's College research facility
Hornagold & Hills has completed the
construction of the new James Black Centre at King's College
London.
The new centre will bring together more than 200 scientists and
specialise in research into cardiology, neuroscience and sickle
cell disease, with a major focus on stem cell research.
Hornagold & Hills was responsible for project management,
contract management and client's representative support on the
£30m, four-year project.
"The principal challenge for us was managing a major project in
the midst of a fully operational Denmark Hill campus and meeting
the needs of multiple users," explains Hornagold & Hills
director, David Bird. "The hospital facilities located on either
side of the new centre placed physical constraints on space and
logistics solutions and commercial constraints on budget."
Hornagold & Hills is part of the Mouchel Parkman group.
