British Gypsum - Sound solution for corridors

British Gypsum has introduced a 900mm wide addition to its Gyptone perforated acoustic ceiling board range, which makes it far easier to meet Part E acoustic requirements in narrower common area corridors of modern apartment developments.
Developed following consultation with house builders, the new board is designed for the growing number of typically 900mm – 1000mm wide corridors, where current installation practice involves cutting down standard 1200mm wide boards. Because of the all-over perforation pattern of these specialist acoustic boards, making-good and jointing the cut-to-width boards is a time consuming and expensive process, which can leave a less-than-perfect finish.
The new Gyptone board has an attractive QUATTRO 45 pattern of full-depth perforations which, combined with an acoustic tissue backing, provides a very high level of acoustic performance meeting Class C absorption standards. The surface pattern has been designed to co-ordinate with the standard Gyptone QUATTRO 41 pattern, which is popular in larger open areas.
For corridors over 900mm wide, strips of solid board can be added at each side of the new board, to meet any width requirement.
New Gyptone QUATTRO 45 board, which can also be used anywhere that a Class C absorber is required, is part of a range of Gyptone tiles, planks and boards, which combine a wide choice of modern geometric patterns with high levels of acoustic performance for prestige applications where appearance and aesthetics are key.
