Marley Eternit - Betters it's building boards brochure
Following the recent rebranding of its building boards
range, Marley Eternit has produced a new guide for these
boards to help architects and designers even further
with specifying in line with Building Regulations.
The guide “Solutions for the Building Regulations –
Building Boards” provides all the useful information …
and lots more too. Like the relevance of the thermal,
fire and acoustic regulations to building boards, and
design details and considerations for each regulation.
Marley Eternit boards used in an external rainscreen
cladding system can accommodate a wide range of
insulation types and thicknesses to help meet the
requirements of Part L, both for new build and
refurbishment.
They are also excellent candidates for specification in
a wide range of fire-resisting applications as they have
been tested to EN 13501-1:2002 and have achieved Class
A2, s1, dO (the second highest category).
They do not significantly contribute to fire load or
growth, have the lowest category for smoke production,
do not produce flaming droplets or particles, and can
provide up to 120 minutes of fire resistance.
They can also help to significantly reduce the
transmission of airborne sound in the walls and floors
of houses, apartments and rooms for residential
purposes, helping to meet Part E of the Building
regulations and contributing towards the higher targets
now set out in the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The A5 compendium includes product data on Marley
Eternit’s high-performance fibre cement Bluclad and Eter-board
external render boards and Hydropanel internal partition
board (that is especially suitable for wet areas) as
well as cement particle structural sheathing board
Duripanel.
Marley Eternit’s range of building boards is one of the
largest, most versatile building board ranges on the UK
market as the company has drawn on its 90+ years of
fibre cement expertise to come up with the ultimate
offer for specifiers, installers and merchants.
