Icopal Systems - launches new integrated roof safety solutions

Icopal, the UK’s leading manufacturer of roofing and construction membranes, has teamed up with its counterparts in fall protection systems to offer an unprecedented single source of roof safety systems.
The company already markets a range of permanent and temporary roof edge safety systems under the well-known Anderson Monarflex brand but has now revised its KwikLine cable-based fall protection system to include Latchways’ Constant Force® post technology.
Latchways are global leaders in fall protection systems not only in terms of design and manufacturing capabilities but also innovation, quality and service, and operate in a number of sectors including construction, aerospace, utilities and telecommunications.
Their patented top-fixed Constant Force post has revolutionised the installation and load transfer to the roof deck rather than the structure of the building. In doing so, not only is the worker protected in the event of a fall but also the integrity of the roof is maintained with tried and tested solutions.
Supplied in kit form to a number of Icopal registered installers, the post incorporates a removable weathering cap and a unique factory-manufactured weathering collar to suit the particular membrane being used. As such, the systems are available with the Icopal 20-year insurance-backed waterproofing guarantee.
The KwikLine system is complemented by Icopal’s own KwikGuard guard rail systems, Kwik-Access ladders and platforms, Dalite safety roof hatch, and ManGuard static weight anchor system designed for use where roof penetration is not possible or where temporary access is required.
Icopal and its safety systems partners offer designers, contractors and building owners a comprehensive design service, advice on the different roof safety systems, roof surveys, training, RIBA CPDs, supply and installation, guarantees and yearly inspections/ certification.
