Ward Insulated Panels has supplied a complete insulated wall and
roof solution to Draycott Sports Centre, a facility which could play
a major part in the development of the UK’s future tennis stars.
Draycott Sports Centre has recently completed the project which
includes two new indoor tennis courts, the only indoor courts in
North Staffordshire. The new facilities, which were part-funded by
the Lawn Tennis Association, are already being used to ensure
year-round training of junior tennis players from the age of 4 to
18. With the completion of the new indoor courts, juniors from
across North Staffordshire have access to top quality facilities
without having to travel extensive distances.
The roof and walls of the building, which was constructed by Swinson
Contractors of Stoke on Trent, were clad with 2,700m2 of Ward IP1000
through-fixed insulated panels coated with Ward XL200 external
weather sheet in willow green.
George Havill, manager of Draycott Sports Centre, said: “The
building is magnificent and represents a really exciting development
for tennis in North Staffordshire. This facility is totally
fit-for-purpose. It was designed with the future of the area’s
junior tennis players in mind and has already become invaluable to a
number of clubs.”
The Ward Trapezoidal IP1000 Panel is a through fixed composite panel
which can be laid horizontally or vertically on wall applications.
It is suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial
building applications. All IP1000 panels incorporate an LPCB
Firesafe Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core with zero Ozone
Depletion Potential (Zero ODP).
