Rockfon, the UK ceiling systems
division of Rockwool International, has just
launched a brand new catalogue. Focusing on
inspiration in ceiling design, it offers a valuable
new resource for architects and designers looking to
create innovative interior environments. With its
sleek, book-style layout the new catalogue presents
Rockfon’s comprehensive ceiling solution portfolio
in a clear and concise format.
In keeping with the company’s active ceilings
concept, information is divided into five key
sections – Design, Acoustics, Products, Performance,
and Installation – each colour-coded for ease of
reference. The Design section is a practical feature
that explains how the use of different edges can be
combined with different grid systems to create
intriguing visual effects or to help emphasise
particular design features. It also demonstrates how
colours and mixed module sizes can be used to form
unique ceiling designs and layouts.
Rockfon has studied a number of typical room types
and divided them into five application sectors:
Office, Education, Health, Industry and Leisure. For
each space, recommendations are made based on
individual product properties, taking into account
the requirements of Building Regulations and
appropriate guidelines. The use of schematic
overviews enable quick identification of the most
appropriate products, simplifying the
decision-making process.
If it’s more detailed information on a specific
product that’s needed, the Products section has the
answer. The full selection of edges and module sizes
available and sound absorption properties are listed
for each and, where relevant, include any optional
colour variations. Humidity resistance, light
reflection, fire performance and cleaning and
demounting data are also given.
