BUREDI - Leith showhome a shore success
The recent launch of a new showhome on Leith’s
Shore has made a splash with prospective buyers flocking in their
droves to preview the superb properties available at the exciting
new Coalhill 2 development.
Unveiled in October, the showhome has attracted many potential home
owners from across Edinburgh and beyond whilst supplying a taste of
what’s to come in the £8m development by BUREDI - a joint venture by
The Burrell Company and The EDI Group.
The popularity of Coalhill 2 follows on from the success of
neighbouring Coalhill 1, which was also designed by respected
Edinburgh based Allan Murray Architects. Phase 1 of the development
was critically acclaimed resulting in the scheme being presented
with both ‘The Britannia Best Apartment of the Year in the UK’ and
‘The Britannia Building of the Year’ awards in 2001.
The showhome allows potential buyers the opportunity to visualise
life in Coalhill and sample the range of contemporary apartments on
offer. The spacious light and airy two bedroom apartment comprises
living room with fully fitted kitchen supplied and fitted by leading
manufacture ALNO. The apartment has been tastefully decorated by an
interior designer with some furnishings from Bo Concept bringing the
room to life and providing inspiration on interiors for any one of
the apartments currently available.
Coalhill 2 offers a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments
around a secure, private courtyard with a designated underground car
park with lift access to all floors – an added appeal for city
dwellers.
Two stunning penthouse apartments are also available comprising
three bedrooms and complete with en-suite, large living areas, fully
equipped kitchen and a spacious terrace overlooking the Shore.
Andrew Burrell, managing director of The Burrell Company said: “We
are delighted with the response we have had from prospective buyers
since opening the showhome. Coalhill 1 played a major role in the
modernisation of this area and it is great to see that Coalhill 2
has a similar appeal.”
Ian Wall, Chief Executive of EDI commented: “Phase 1 of the
development acted as a catalyst for the continued regeneration and
rebirth of Leith. Phase 2 is a continuation of this and we are
delighted that this development has been well received by potential
buyers proving the success of BUREDI’s role in reviving this area of
Edinburgh.”
The Shore has transformed in recent years to become a very desirable
place to live. The waterfront setting includes excellent amenities
including two Michelin Star restaurants, as well as hotels, bars and
the Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre. Further investment in the area
includes a new landscaped play area.
70% of the apartments have already been snapped up, and due to
increased demand, a further nine apartments are soon to be released.
Prices are from £210,000.
Coalhill 2 complements BUREDI’s other project at Bell’s Mills on the
Water of Leith adjoining Dean Village which is due for completion
early next year and is available for reservation now.
The Coalhill 2 showhome is open weekly from Thursday through to
Monday from 11pm to 5pm, where prospective buyers can view an array
of apartment styles.
