Tarkett Marley Floors - Chosen for Hanover Housing refurbishment

Hanover Housing has recently completed the refurbishment of Rossefield Manor specifying floor coverings from Tarkett Marley Floors, following their successful application in several other new build projects.

Trevor Ettridge, Technical Manager for Hanover said “I specified ID Moduline for the refurbishments as I had seen how effective it is in Hanover Housing’s new build jobs and wanted an alternative to carpets where foot traffic is high. I am delighted with the result – it is aesthetically pleasing and very practical.”

The refurbishment of Rossefield Manor involved replacing floor coverings in the communal corridors including the main entrance, kitchen and bin store corridor, and outside lift areas where there is high volume of traffic from residents, visitors and staff.

The scheme chosen was a mixture of carpet and vinyl planks from Tarkett’s Luxury Vinyl Tiles range. Each plank has a pure PVC transparent wear layer, which makes it exceptionally hardwearing and indentation resistant. Its PUR reinforcement means that it is resistant to scuff marks and offers easy low cost maintenance as no wax or polish are required throughout the flooring’s lifetime. This helps to conserve natural resources and reduces the need for chemicals, as well as cutting staff time and costs on maintenance routines, making it ecological as well as economical.

Hanover Housing also recently specified Tarkett’s Luxury Vinyl Tiles for the replacement of a communal dining room floor at another of its estates, Eden Gardens in Westwood Park, Bradford. The Luxury Vinyl tile range was chosen for its ability to stand up to heavy use by wheelchairs, its practicality and the non-standard aesthetically pleasing finishes that can be achieved.

Tarkett also provided technical assistance to Hanover Housing to recommend the most suitable quick drying adhesive, ensuring the entire floor could be removed, a new floor screed laid and the new vinyl planks fitted to an area approximately 85m2, all within 48 hours. This meant the dining room was out of action for only one evening meal - essential at Eden Gardens since all residents are provided with a hot meal every day.
