From information to insulation – that is the move
Brian Dolan has made to become the new managing director of Saint-Gobain
Isover.
Brian has been appointed to head up the UK’s leading manufacturer of
mineral wool insulation from November 1st 2007. He joins the
Runcorn-based company from British Gypsum where he had been finance
and information systems director for the past five years.
The insulation and gypsum activities of the Saint-Gobain Group have
been working more closely together to optimise opportunities to
share best practices and improve product and service offerings to
customers. With his experience, Brian’s recruitment to the Isover
team will represent a significant step forward in this process.
A chartered accountant by profession, Brian, age 49, has had
extensive experience within the BPB Group, including positions as
finance director of the Moy-Isover insulation joint venture in
Ireland and chief finance officer for BPB’s Asia region following
its major acquisitions in China and Thailand.
He joins Isover at an interesting time for the company and the
industry – Isover enjoying a prolonged period of exciting innovation
as well as investment in improved production facilities at its
Runcorn plant and the industry reaping the rewards of a Government
focus on using sustainable insulation as the simplest single method
of reducing our carbon footprint.
“The success of the past five years, combined with the strong future
growth of the insulation industry ideally positions Isover to
continue in its drive to be at the forefront of innovation and
provide sustainable building solutions,” he said.
An Irish citizen, Brian is married with two children. His
predecessor Alex McLeod leaves the insulation business after five
years to take Brian’s previous position at British Gypsum.
