The latest powerful online tool from Knauf
Drywall gives drywall specifiers and contractors the ability to
produce accurate procurement schedules from complex drywall
specifications – in seconds. The new time saving Procurement
Schedule tool complements Knauf Drywall’s award winning Partition
Specifier tool, further simplifying and accelerating drywall
specification.
Procurement Schedule uses data from Partition Specifier to minimise
the additional information needed to calculate precise requirements
for a complete drywall installation. The additional data includes
the overall run of a specified partition type, and numbers of doors,
windows and abutments. Procurement Schedule also enables the
specifier to control variables such as the length of studs, use of
moisture resistant board and the budgeted overall waste percentage.
With all this data in place Procurement Schedule works out
requirements, down to the last screw.
Knauf Drywall Marketing Manager Bob Stark says Procurement Schedule
will save specifiers a significant amount of time. “A job that can
involve many hours of information gathering and calculating can now
be achieved in a matter of minutes,” he says. “Partition Specifier
has already proved to be a great time saver for drywall specifiers
by identifying the best partition constructions for each job and
then printing a full NBS format specification document – and an
operations and maintenance manual – in seconds. Now, at another
click of the mouse, Procurement Schedule provides the complete
shopping list for the job. This is what harnessing the power of the
internet is all about.”
Procurement Schedule is free online at http://partitionspecifier.knaufdrywall.co.uk
and is designed to help drywall specifiers and subcontractors. It
can also be used by builders merchants as a service to their
customers.
Partition Specifier was hailed at the 2006 Construction Marketing
Awards, where it won the award for the best use of online
communication.
Knauf Drywall manufactures a full range of plasters, plasterboards,

promotes recycling from building sites and has a zero waste policy
