The writing is on the wall for expensive graffiti removals thanks to the launch of a new range of protective surface coatings and specialist cleaning products from leading paint manufacturer Johnstone’s.

Providing effective resistance against all types of paint, aerosols, marker pens and even felt tip pens, Johnstone’s new anti-graffiti system comprises an Adhesion Promoting Primer, Anti Graffiti Finish & Activator, Anti Graffiti Glaze & Clear Activator and Graffiti remover.

Suitable for use across a wide range of sectors including education, leisure, retail and transport, the new anti-graffiti system provides a cost-effective solution to vandalism and, once applied, can be easily and repeatedly cleaned as necessary.

From the very first application, the three-step system provides effective protection against unsightly graffiti in just seven days.

Designed to be applied safely to both interior and exterior brick, masonry and previously painted surfaces, Johnstone’s Adhesion Promoting Primer is first used to prepare even the most difficult of substrates whilst helping to maintain and preserve the appearance of the surface.

To follow, Johnstone’s Anti-Graffiti Finish is applied to provide a permanent and easy-to-clean protective barrier on all types of interior and exterior surfaces. The quick drying, water-based formula ensure rapid project completion with minimal disruption and it has successfully achieved a Class O fire rating for use on non-combustible surfaces.

Available in a choice of colours, including white and a range of attractive pastel shades, the finish also provides excellent chemical and abrasion resistance and protection against mould growth.

For projects where a more subtle appearance is preferred, Johnstone’s Anti Graffiti Glaze & Clear Activator provides the same level of permanent protection but with a clear finish.

Once the surfaces have been protected with Johnstone’s Anti Graffiti coatings, the removal of any subsequent vandalism is quickly, easily and cost-effectively achieved through the use of Johnstone’s Anti Graffiti Remover. Used correctly, the remover effectively restores the area without leaving any shadowing or residue.
