Honeywell Control Systems - Compact Valve Actuator From Centraline

A new small linear thermoelectric valve actuator from CentraLine by Honeywell provides precise and reliable operation of water valves in heating and air conditioning systems. Stylish in appearance and silent in operation, the MT010-N actuator can be used with many types of 2-way and 3-way valves as well as thermostatic radiator valves (M30 x 1.5).

It snaps easily onto the valve, so installation is quick and easy without special tools.

The actuator is ideal for regulating heating and cooling systems in homes and buildings, in individual rooms and heating zones covering larger areas. It can be used on hydronic heating zones, individual radiators, underfloor heating circuits, fan coils and air conditioning units. It self-calibrates every 24 hours to ensure consistency.

Its small size – just 60mm high, 64mm deep and 44mm wide – makes it ideal for use where space is limited, even in fan coil units. It is supplied with either a 1m or 3m cable.

The MT010-N operates valves in response to control signals from any temperature controller, such as a room thermostat or programmer. It produces valve movement by expansion and contraction of a wax element, heated by electrical resistance.

The power supply to the controller is 24V dc and it uses o-10 dc control signal.

When the element is heated using electrical current from the control signal, a pin moves out to operate the valve into its open condition. The wax element cools after the control signal switches off, allowing the valve to move back to its ‘off’ state.

This ingenious heater design uses only 2 watts yet develops ample force (up to 100N) and up to 3.5mm of travel for reliable and consistent valve operation. Accuracy is guaranteed by a microprocessor-based positioner.
