Food Industry Technical has installed a demand
based ventilation system into a trial site at Swindon.
The results taken so far have been very convincing, reducing BHS's
kitchen ventilation energy consumption by 60% and giving them a 1.25
year payback.
The trial has been so successful BHS are looking to role out the
energy saving system to 5 more stores with subsequent stores
thereafter.
Food Industry Technical secures Hilton Hotel roll-out
After a successful installation of 30 hotels, during the period of
2005/2006, Hilton Hotels have now rolled-out Intelli-Hood to a
further 7 properties.
Hilton Hotels made considerable savings by reducing the fan speed to
match the required ventilation, and in the process made savings on
both their energy consumption and energy costs. In the Hilton
Birmingham Metropole alone Hilton has saved up to £12000 per year
off their electricity bill giving them a payback of just over a
year.
The new roll-out includes hotels in Glasgow, Sheffield and Warwick
along with others all over the UK.
Hilton Hotels have also seen the benefits of including Intellli-Hood
in their Energy Management Programme in Europe and have recently
installed a system in La Defense, France.
