Optex Europe - Launch wireless detector

Optex Europe, leader in detection technology, has launched the BX8ONR, a battery operated wire-free perimeter protection device incorporating object size judging technology, a range limiting function, advanced temperature compensation technology and a patented Double Conductive Shielding for additional white light immunity and false alarm reduction.

A development of the successfully established BX80N external perimeter PIR, the BX8ONR is ideally designed to protect the immediate perimeter of a building, with an effective range of up to 24 metres. It is developed for the purpose of ‘early warning’ - detecting an intruder at the earliest opportunity as Paul Nicholas, Sales manager for Optex Europe explains:

“When used for intruder/stand-alone applications, the BX80NR can utilise a range of generic transmitters which can be housed in the device,” he says. “Alternatively for CCTV applications the BX80NR can be coupled with the Redwall WF100DT transmitter and WF100CU receiver to accurately control domes or fixed cameras functions used in onsite or remote monitoring applications.”

The BX80NR offers a reliable and flexible option in new system design as well as an easy retro-fit solution for existing CCTV or intruder systems. Although primarily designed for external applications, both the original BX80N and wireless BX80NR can also be used internally, providing a viable solution for perimeter sequential confirmation when coupled with other devices to form a sequentially confirmed alarm condition.
