Better known for their existing range of bespoke
creations and modular kit staircases, Complete Stair
Systems are now to branch out into other product lines;
namely FAKRO Roof Windows.
FAKRO roof windows offer the customer many interesting
solutions when using the attic space, each one
guaranteeing complete safety and comfort. Now, old, dark
and uninviting lofts are a thing of the past as FAKRO
roof windows enable you to convert your loft, allowing
full use of this previously unused space for almost any
purpose.
The high quality materials and state of the art
production techniques ensure excellent quality control
and give a durable, safe and functional roof window
that, together with its unrivalled insulation
propertied, is breaking new ground in roof window design
and construction. Using specially selected high quality
pinewood and using the latest technology in timber
lamination techniques, FAKRO roof windows are extremely
stable. To complement this technology all timber
components are double vacuum preservative treated and
given a 3 coat matt lacquer finish, which requires no
further decoration. Externally the timber components are
covered with aluminium sections which are covered with a
UV and weather resistant coating.
Using the latest in glazing technology FAKRO roof
windows offer excellent energy saving characteristics.
All windows are double glazed as standard and by using a
single chambered construction with energy saving panes,
each glazed unit achieves a U-value of 1.0 w/m2k (1.4
w/m2k per window). This market leading specification is
achieved by covering the pane with a silver-oxide
coating which reflects the sun’s rays. This makes FAKRO
roof windows cooler in summer and warmer during the
winter.
CENTRE PIVOT WINDOWS
Centre pivot windows are currently the most widely used
in loft conversions and allow the transformation of an
attic storage facility into valuable living
accommodation. The well designed centre pivot window is
easy top operate and the two-part hinge allows the sash
to be open in a range of positions, thus increasing the
amount of fresh air being let into the room. The sash
can be rotated through 180 degrees allowing easy
cleaning and maintenance. The windows also have 6% more
glazed area compared to other manufacturers’ similar
sizes, thus allowing more light into the room.
FPP preSelect WINDOWS
A revolutionary new system of window, the FPP preSelect
Roof Window can be opened in one of two configurations;
either on a centre pivot in much the same way as the
normal centre pivot windows; or, by the use of a switch
in the frame, via a top-hung style pivot. This greater
flexibility of opening mechanism allows the FPP to
fulfil the same requirements as both centre and top hung
windows, whilst maintaining a stylish design and the
full insulation and security as any other
FAKRO roof window.
Conservation style, Emergency Windows, Accessories
Of course the FAKRO range is by no means limited to the
two windows mentioned above. As well as numerous
specialist windows to suit any situation, all the
windows are available in luxury and conservative
varieties. There are also a large number of accessories,
ranging from electronic opening devices through the
blinds and awnings.
