British Gypsum - Voted ‘Best Interior Product’ at Interbuild
British Gypsum’s new extreme duty partition, GypWall EXTREME,
has been voted ‘Best Interior Product’ at Interbuild 2007.
GypWall EXTREME, which has already won acclaim for innovation
from the Construction Products Association, has been developed
to provide a fast-build alternative to traditional non-loadbearing
masonry systems for very heavy traffic areas in buildings. It is
the only partition system to provide substantiated performance
above and beyond
BS 5234 Severe Duty, the maximum performance classification
currently available for strength and robustness of partitions.
Based on standard and readily available Gypframe metal
components, and lined with the unique new Glasroc Rigidur H high
density fibre board, the new system had to demonstrate
innovation, aesthetic appearance, speed of installation, quality
and best value, in order to win the coveted Interbuild award.
British Gypsum Commercial Market Manager Paul Campbell said,
“GypWall EXTREME breaks new grounds for drywall partitions, and
is already challenging masonry in key areas such as education
and healthcare, where the super-tough lining offers real
benefits in terms of maintenance and disease control, in
addition to the obvious build benefits.
“The system was developed in association with key customers and
has provided one of our most successful new product launches for
some time. We are particularly pleased, after being away from
Interbuild for more than 10 years, that our return to the show
has been crowned by this major achievement “.
