Visitors and staff at the new Barnstaple showrooms of Living Needs
Solutions, specialists in adaptations for the elderly and disabled -
can be assured of under foot safety following the installation of
Polysafe Corona low maintenance sheet vinyl safety flooring from
commercial flooring specialist Polyflor Ltd.
Slip resistant Polysafe Corona, in a pleasing combination of Geyser
Blue and Barley colourways, has been fitted throughout the showrooms
and features the Living Needs Solutions logo inset into the floor.
Created by the Polyflor Expressions Design Service, the company logo
inset is just one of many striking designs developed through
precision computerised water jet cutting techniques, which enable a
whole host of attractive landscapes to be created in various
commercial sectors.
Combining the latest advanced performance and maintenance technology
with a superbly fresh colour palette, Polysafe Corona incorporates
Supratec+; the second generation of Polyflor’s unique soil releasing
polymer system, including polyurethane for reduced dirt pick up,
even easier maintenance and cleaning cost savings of up to 60% over
traditional safety flooring.
The range also features a new advanced formulation, providing
enhanced flexibility for even easier fitting and welding. As well as
meeting the performance requirements of EN13845 and being BBA
Agrément certified as G5ws, Corona provides sustainable slip
resistance throughout its guaranteed life, achieving ³36 on the RRL
Pendulum wet test (Four S/Slider 96 rubber). This, combined with a
surface roughness of Rz ³20µm, ensures that Corona complies with
Health and Safety Executive guidance, also allowing the flooring to
be rated as ESf (enhanced slip, footwear) in line with EN 13845, the
European Norm for Safety Flooring.
The practical appeal of the range is matched by its aesthetic
appearance - a superb choice of 12 fresh, vivid colours, carefully
chosen to complement shades available in Polyflor’s heavy duty
smooth range of commercial floor coverings, thus enabling architects
and designers to co-ordinate and contrast colours in different use
areas.
Polysafe Corona has been independently tested and results
demonstrate that the product inhibits the growth of MRSA. An
effective cleaning regime is, however, the most important defence
against infection.
