British Gypsum - Gyptone chosen for Harbourside
British Gypsum’s Gyptone QUATTRO 20 acoustic ceiling tiles
have been chosen for corridor and communal area lining in Crest
Nicholson’s stunning new Harbourside development in the heart of
Bristol.
The unique gypsum tiles have an attractive geometric pattern of
regular full depth perforations and a special acoustic tissue
backing providing Class C absorption levels and low
reverberation to meet the latest Part E acoustic requirements.
Gyptone QUATTRO 20 acoustic tiles were chosen by Crest Nicholson
for their modern design, their high level of acoustic
performance, and because they can be redecorated in the future
without impacting acoustic performance. In addition, the life
expectancy of the tiles, at 3 to 4 times that of the mineral
fibre alternative, will significantly reduce maintenance and
replacement costs over the building life.
Interiors Contractor, MPG-contracts, installed the tiles on a
concealed metal grid to give a flat, continuous ceiling
appearance, which complemented the building interior.
Overlooking the ss Great Britain and the city’s historic
harbour, this new development of 242 one, two and three bedroom
waterfront apartments, complete with underground parking, is
part of a major retail, leisure and residential scheme, due for
completion in 2009.
