Ward Insulated Panels has recently supplied
a total insulated roof solution for a new Guy Salmon Land Rover
outlet in Cheshire.
The Knutsford based site used a combination of Ward DR1000
trapezoidal panels and Ward Topdek composite single-ply panels
to roof its new showroom and workshops. The finished building
successfully marries the different requirements of providing a
smart showroom with practical workshops and stores blended into
one, reflecting the ‘solid’ nature of the Land Rover brand.
Ward products have been specified for a growing number of
automotive showroom buildings with customers including Bentley,
Porsche and Lamborghini.
Andy Wardley of AMS Cladding, the company that specified and
installed the roofing panels, says, “We used Ward insulated roof
systems because they offered a high quality, cost effective
solution for the whole job. We needed a roof that could be
installed and weather sealed quickly and the Ward products
allowed us to do this.”
The Ward Trapezoidal DR1000 Panel is a concealed fixed composite
panel for roof and wall applications. Like all Ward products it
incorporates a Firesafe Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core
with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (Zero ODP).
Ward Topdek is a factory pre-engineered composite roof panel
that offers faster onsite assembly compared to traditional
single ply roofing methods. It comprises a high performance
single-ply PVC outer membrane integrally bonded to a Firesafe
rigid PIR insulation core approved to LPBC standards, and a
steel trapezoidal inner deck, which provide structural support.
As an all–in-one single ply roofing solution, Topdek replaces
the individual processes of laying steel roof decking, vapour
control layer, insulation, and outer membrane with one simple
installation, which, when compared to traditional built up
roofing systems, is proving to be up to 50% faster to install. A
new self-coring fixing screw – unique to Topdek – speeds the
installation process even further.
