Impact sound reducing sheet vinyl flooring from Polyflor has been installed in the dance studio at the DM Academy in Shipley, West Yorkshire.

Polyflor Gallery FX Acoustic, in a dramatic grey granite effect, was fitted in the studio by
Leeds-based flooring contractor Fresco Interiors.

Developed in response to growing demand for effective and attractive solutions to noise pollution in buildings, Gallery FX Acoustic offers a choice of 14 wood, stone and mottled granite effects and features a 0.5mm wearlayer.

The product forms part of Polyflor’s recently launched Acoustic Flooring Solutions collection, which also includes Forest FX Acoustic and Acoustifoam. Both Gallery FX Acoustic and Forest FX Acoustic provide a high impact sound insulation of 19dB and feature a polyurethane surface reinforcement (PUR) for reduced maintenance

Polyflor Acoustifoam is a 2mm closed cell foam backing sheet which can be used in combination with many Polyflor heavy duty and safety sheet vinyls to achieve an impact sound resistance of 18dB.

In line with Building Regulation Part E, all Polyflor Acoustic Collection products are manufactured in accordance with EN ISO 140-8.
