Stannah Lift Services has been awarded the OHSAS 18001 certification by the certification body, Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC).

Stannah’s commitment to health and safety has been officially recognised, meeting the standards set by the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems OHSAS 18001.

The international standard provides guidance to managing the health and safety aspects of an organisation’s activities more effectively, controlling operational risks and improving overall performance.

Achieving the health and safety standard recognises Stannah’s continual dedication to the welfare of its employees and customers and providing a safer working environment.

A large proportion of the company’s employees are field engineers servicing and maintaining lifts nationwide. The achievement acknowledges Stannah’s focus on providing the same level of health and safety for those out in the field as they do for those working in its main offices.

The accreditation will help Stannah in its preparation of tenders and quotations for maintenance and service contracts. The company will no longer need to include individual extensive of H&S information as the Standard says it all.
