Design Group 3 Architects - sets sail for Little Britain

As Champions of Scott Wilson’s Tiny Britain rowing race, which took place on 4 September in Regents Park, Design Group 3 Architects’ rowing team is looking forward to picking up the Little Britain Challenge Cup 2007 trophy this weekend.

Design Group 3 Architect’s Chairman, Gareth Howell and Brighton-based consultant Derek Copeman, both experienced sailors, will be part of a team of nine crew on board ‘Bojangles’ as they compete in the Class 3 race.

As one of the biggest regattas in England, and a fun challenge for the construction industry, it continues to grow in popularity, with a record 250 entries this year.

Captain Gareth Howell, comments: “This is a prestigious event in both the construction and sailing calendar. We are an experienced and talented crew, and following on from our Tiny Britain win, are geared up for an outright victory.”

”It is a complex course and is bound to be a competitive race - may the best architectural practice win!” he said.

Design Group 3 Architects is celebrating its wonderful achievement of Scott Wilson’s Tiny Britain race, where Brighton-based Director Chris Brooks, Mark Raby and Lisa Yeandle led one of the practice’s two boats to victory, with an impressive time of 11.56’.

Design Group 3 Architects is a design-led architectural practice with three creative studios in Leeds, Bristol and Brighton and a proven track record in the delivery of innovative, sustainable and commercially successful projects across the UK.
