For the Royal Ballet School Performances in
London’s Covent Garden on the first weekend of June,
Bromley-based company, The Event Producers, chose to hire
Harlequin’s Liberty sprung dance floor system.
The Harlequin hire service was introduced last year to meet the
growing need to provide professional quality dance floors for
special events where dance is staged. Harlequin has since hired
dance floors for diverse situations such as art galleries,
railway stations, town squares and stately homes, as well as
summer schools using marquees or general classroom space. The
Covent Garden event allowed the Royal Ballet School to perform
on a professional quality dance floor, where a Harlequin Cascade
dance surface was provided with Harlequin Liberty panels
providing the sprung floor.
Harlequin Liberty floors can be laid on most hard, flat
surfaces, providing a choice of non-slip vinyl dance surfaces on
a sprung floor that offers consistent shock absorption - two
important factors in the reduction of risk of injury through
falling or forms of impact and stress injuries.
The hire service, which at present is limited to events in
England only, is provided by British Harlequin’s Contract
Department and includes supply, installation and removal after
the event.
