A new Saniplus small bore
macerator has been installed in the Principal’s
private residence at the London School of Theology.
It replaces a similar system which had provided 15
years trouble-free service.
Chris Williams, the School’s maintenance engineer,
says: “This is a fairly typical application of a
Saniplus as it discharges the waste water from a
shower, in addition to the wash basin and the toilet
waste.
“The house is over 50 years old and the closet where
the Saniplus is was obviously an “addition” to the
premises. Running gravity discharge pipework from it
to the main waste system would have been tricky and
unsightly. Consequently the Saniplus has provided
the most satisfactory and economical solution.”
One of Saniflo’s broad range of small bore macerator
products, the Saniplus is ideally suited to this
type of domestic installation where providing
additional toilet and shower or bath facilities
would, for one reason or another, have been
virtually impossible using traditional gravity
plumbing methods.
Saniplus has a robust 400W motor which is capable of
pumping waste efficiently and economically over
distances of 5m vertically, 100m horizontally, or a
lesser combination of the two.
The Principal’s residence stands on the London
School of Theology’s inspiring red brick campus at
Northwood in North West London. An
interdenominational, evangelical theological
college, its 330 students many from around the
world, study for degrees in theology, counselling,
music and worship, plus a variety of open learning
courses.
Many Saniflo products are used in other similar
educational establishments throughout the UK. The
entire Saniflo Range and the Kinedo shower range is
available nationally through builders and plumbers
merchants and carry a full two-year guarantee.
