Leading home builder, Persimmon
Homes East Midlands has appointed Steve Matthews as
sales director for the region.
Steve (40) joins Persimmon from Stamford Homes and
with more than eight year’s house-building industry
experience. He began his career in the RAF and moved
into housebuilding sector, successfully progressed
through the ranks to associate sales director at
Stamford Homes before taking on his current position
as sales director for Persimmon Homes.
As part of his new remit, Steve will be responsible
for the ongoing progression of sales at each site as
well as ensuring each development is well prepared
prior to opening. He will also be accountable for
more than 40 members of staff which includes
advisers and field sales managers.
Commenting on his appointment, Steve said: “I am
already really enjoying my new role. My primary aim
is to boost Persimmon’s presence throughout the East
Midlands region while at the same time, helping
build on our recent successes.
“I look forward to putting my knowledge of the area
and my skills to good use in what promises to be my
most exciting and challenging role to date.”
Adrian Evans, managing director for the company
adds: “As a region we are launching a number of
exciting projects in this year and Steve is a
welcome addition to our team. His experience within
the industry will prove to be invaluable to our
sales strategy and I am looking forward to what the
forthcoming months will bring.”
Steve lives in Bourne is married with two children.
