One of the UK’s leading
homebuilders, Persimmon Homes has appointed a new
managing director to head up its operation in Essex.
Ian Jeffrey, 44, brings with him a wealth of no less
than 22 years in the housebuilding industry, where
he started out as a technical engineer with Barratt
East London. Before joining Persimmon he previously
spent the last 11 years at Bellway Homes, where he

and finally managing director.
Based in Witham, Ian will be responsible for
overseeing all elements of the business on a day to
day basis and coordinating the smooth running of the
company. He will be implementing new business plans
and driving the company forward reinforcing its
position as one of the leading residential
developers in the region.
Ian comments: “I am delighted to have the
opportunity to work for such a forward thinking and
innovative company as Persimmon.
“In order to grow, we need to continue to lead the
way in recognising and acknowledging industry
trends, ensuring we offer a great choice of housing
and more sustainable patterns of development that
appeal to a broad mix of people.
“I am looking forward to tackling the many
challenges ahead of me and I hope that in my new
role I can contribute to Persimmon’s continuing
success across Essex.”
Ian lives in Chelmsford and is married with three
children.
