British Harlequin plc will be
exhibiting at the PLASA07 show to be held at
London’s Earls Court, 9th to 12th September. Showing
a wide range of examples from their extensive range
on stand D73, visitors will able to compare stage,
studio and dance floor coverings and sprung floor
systems, plus there will be expert support on hand
to provide guidance and advice.
Being exhibited for the first time at PLASA will be
a demonstration of a new flying ballet wagon that
permits a fully sprung dance floor to be used for
dance performances and quickly removed and stored
vertically when not required.
The aluminium-framed mobile wagon incorporates
Harlequin Liberty sprung floor panels retained by a
special Hoac® system, which allows them to be stored
vertically in the fly tower, but also ensures
unobstructed movement of the Liberty panels when the
wagon is horizontal on the stage floor. Developed in
conjunction with the German company Hoac®,
originally for Het Muziektheater in Amsterdam and
recently supplied to the Finnish National Opera in
Helsinki, the system can be customised to suit the
particular requirements of any customer.
Commenting on prospects for this year’s show,
Marketing Manager, Monica Arnott said, ‘We are
looking forward to gaining many interesting new
enquiries and meeting customers from overseas.
Harlequin will also be showing the Hi-Shine range of
flooring which is proving popular for display,
exhibition, special events and TV applications.’
