Edmond Shipway - on the move in Manchester
Construction consultants Edmond
Shipway’s Manchester office has moved to bigger premises
to cope with a growing order book.
The 30-strong Manchester team acts for clients including
ASK, Eltasco Ltd, Nikal Ltd, Manchester City Council,
The University of Manchester, University of Salford, and
Trafford and Tameside Metropolitan Borough Councils.
Partners Colin Fall, David Hirst and Ken Latham
explained that during the past five years the Manchester
team had outgrown its Deansgate Locks accommodation,
necessitating a move to Middle Warehouse, Castle Quay,
Chester Road.
“Edmond Shipway in Manchester has gone from strength to
strength in the past few years and we are involved in
many high profile schemes such as the development of the
Central Spine site for ASK and Zenith office building in
Spring Gardens for Eltasco Ltd.
“The move is part of our long term strategy to grow
Edmond Shipway within the region and we are recruiting
at all levels to meet the growing demand for our
services.”
The firm has taken 4,000 sq ft of modern office space in
Manchester’s regenerated canalside district to develop
further its construction consultancy practice which
offers project management, cost consultancy, building
surveying, project safety and mechanical and electrical
consultancy.
Edmond Shipway has nine offices across the UK in Bath,
Belfast, Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, Harrogate,
London, Manchester and Nottingham, and three overseas in
Kazakhstan, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
The practice has a diverse workload, servicing both the
public and private sectors, with an order book in excess
of £800 million.
