ASK Life - Key appointments for ASK life

ASK Life, the innovative residential arm of award-winning Ask Developments has been strengthened by the creation of a new management team.

Two key personnel have been appointed to the roles of Customer Care Manager and Project Manager alongside existing Head of Sales, Sian Pitt. The team will be headed up by Director of Ask Life Duncan Bowman.

Mike Melvin, a graduate from Liverpool University has been appointed as Customer Care Manager. He was previously Customer Services Manager for the Manchester Division of Bellway Homes where he was responsible for the formation and implementation of all customer care polices since the department was formulated in 2000.

Mike will be charged with a similar role at Ask Life where he will create and develop customer care policies and be responsible for managing customers’ residential purchases from initial enquiry through to sales completion.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining Ask Life and I am looking forward to creating a focussed programme that will reflect the company’s excellent reputation for putting the customer first.”

Project Manager Jon Weston, 27, follows in Duncan Bowman’s footsteps moving to Ask Life from Countryside Properties where he spent more than four years having completed their intensive two-year Graduate management programme.

He worked on a number of major mixed-used developments including the Radius scheme and The Edge, and was Project Manager on the 180-acre Lower Broughton Regeneration project, the largest of its kind in the North West.

He commented: “The role of project manager for Ask Life will be exciting and rewarding and with the sheer scale and ambition of our forthcoming schemes, one which I am looking forward to enormously.”

The team is further strengthened with the support of marketing executive Ann-Marie Duffy and personal assistant to the team, Louise Crossley.

These appointments reflect the increasing scale of Ask Life’s sales and business activity since its inception 12 months ago, and highlight the company’s ambition to create a substantial portfolio of around 5,100 residential units over the next 10 years.

Ask Life is responsible for delivering residential schemes within Ask’s own commercial portfolio, including schemes at Castlefield Quay, Manchester; Greengate, Salford; St Petersfield, Ashton-under-Lyne and Townside in Bury.

Plans have already been granted for a 22-storey landmark tower at Clippers Quay, Salford Quays, which will consist of 651 apartments and for 162 apartments at Liberty at St Petersfield in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Earlier this year, all 56 apartments in the first phase of the scheme to redevelop Urmston town centre were sold in around two hours.

Director of Ask Life, Duncan Bowman said: “We are delighted to welcome the two new team members to the company. These appointments highlight an exciting time for Ask Life and its burgeoning residential development portfolio. We have a great number of fantastic new schemes planned and the new team’s wealth of experience reflect our ambition to become the north-west’s leading residential developer.”
