AET Flexible Space - AET expands Movinord partitioning range
Office interior specialists, Advanced Ergonomic
Technologies (AET) has added a new Crystal alternative
to its top quality Movinord demountable partitioning
ranges. The two existing steel framed systems have been
complemented by the additional option of a vertical dry
joint for single glazed modules. Available with both
visible and hidden profiling options, the Crystal option
allows specifiers to create generous glazed areas with
minimal partitioning framework for a more spacious and
lighter feel to the office environment.
These changes have resulted in the availability of a
partitioning system which has the appearance of a glass
wall, but which remains truly demountable and
relocatable with all the benefits which that entails,
including tax concessions and the ability to relocate to
a slightly differing ceiling height (+/- 20mm).
The new Crystal dry jointed system utilises a
technically advanced polymer material. The pioneering,
shatter-proof PMMA, Polymethyl methacrylate (as used in
aircraft windows and ice-hockey barriers), is used to
attain extra transparency, flatness and luminosity.
Since the system is modular, it can also adapt easily to
the changing needs of occupiers and organisations with a
high churn rate. PMMA components include both h-section
dry joints for 1800 straight joints, 900 corners,
t-joints & cross joints and can accommodate between 8mm
and 12mm laminated glass.
The popular M82 system, to which the Crystal alternative
has just been added, is the most flexible and functional
system in the Movinord demountable partition range. Its
modular partitions and visible steel spice profiles
enable quick and easy assembly and demount and are also
supremely strong and hardwearing.
The executive M92 partitioning system incorporates a
hidden profiling design characterised by indented bottom
runners and suspended panels separated by 10mm grooves.
With its unique, patented steel splice profile and
joint, the M92 system is precision engineered for easy
assembly, dismantling, and when required, relocation.
The M92 system is the more design-led alternative from
the Movinord range, an appeal which has increased now
with the addition of the Crystal alternative.
Both the original versions of a M82 standard or M92
executive systems are completely interchangeable with
the new Crystal alternative, so all the benefits of
either option may be incorporated into one installation.
The Crystal options for both M82 and M92 systems are
also ideal when considering DDA regulations regarding
the visibility of door frames. A highly visible door
frame – available from Movinord in steel with a large
selection of coloured powder coatings – is a mandatory
requirement from a safety point of view. The systems’
less obtrusive glazed areas (with appropriate
manifestations) are completely interchangeable with the
steel framed doors and solid sections and therefore
offer complete flexibility in use.
Manufactured using ultra-modem technology, the full
Movinord product range has successfully passed a number
of tests in different laboratories on technical aspects
including sound insulation, fire resistance and element
interchangeability. When used in conjunction with AET’s
Flexible Space Concept incorporating raised flooring and
underfloor air conditioning, the truly flexible office
environment can be created, bringing unrivalled
flexibility and cost-savings in office design, function
and operation.
With over 15 years experience in bringing flexibility to
commercial developments across the world and 20 million
sq ft of reference projects worldwide, AET has a proven
track record in bringing flexibility to the workplace. A
permanent showroom demonstrating AET’s flexible
technologies is set up at The Center in East Grinstead.
