Forward Vision - Construction industry, man-guarding companies, local authorities and Police get new anti-crime weapon

The best-in-class Metal Mickey camera from Forward Vision has found a 'new friend' and will now be fitted to all V-Ceptor mobile deployable CCTV units from Electronic Guarding Solutions. The new V-Ceptor surveillance system is set to keep a watchful eye over places that other systems cannot reach - such as construction sites and anywhere susceptible to anti-social behaviour and theft - anywhere not currently covered by a permanent CCTV scheme.
The V-Ceptor can be deployed and assembled wherever and whenever it is needed. The system uses 'Metal Mickeys' - widely regarded as the most robust range of cameras on the market - and can be set up by an operator in under 30 minutes. In the event of power failure, the V-Ceptor can send an alarm and the back up battery will provide alternative power for several hours. The V-Ceptor is designed for areas that do not have fixed wired communications or a permanent power source and one of the primary markets will be construction sites, closely followed by local authorities and Police forces.
It is expected to be greatly welcomed as a preventor of anti-social behaviours and crime, as well as saving man-guarding companies the cost of sending out staff to patrol problem areas.
Stephen Reece of Forward Vision CCTV said; "Metal Mickey is already gaining an enviable reputation for crime prevention and detection, and remote monitoring, particularly in harsh and hazardous environments - which is specifically what the Mickey was designed for. We are looking to working in partnership with Electronic Guarding Solutions and seeing Mickey popping up all over country on the
V-Ceptor; we are very excited about Mickey starting to realise its potential."
The V-Ceptor has been designed as a 'man-tech' solution which means that it works in conjunction with a manned response service, without putting security guards in danger. As an extremely robust system, it is protected from attack or damage. The system also has full 'live' speech and audio function to alert intruders to the fact that they are being monitored and prevent an incident.
Brent Taylor of Electronic Guarding Solutions, brainchild of the V-Ceptor, said: "Metal Mickey has passed all our stringent test criteria, and we are delighted to announce that the Metal Mickey from Forward Vision is now the camera of choice for the V-Ceptor.
"A huge amount of effort went into perfecting the V-Ceptor, and it's fantastic to see it finally coming to life. It's strong, reliable, effective and highly cost-effective. It has its own power supply if needed - it has everything required for rapid deployment by the construction industry, man-guarding companies, police forces and local authorities. We are expecting it to be extremely popular and to play an important part in crime prevention and detection."
