Walton Garden Buildings - Walton Garden Buildings going back to
its trade roots
Walton Garden Buildings, the UK’s largest
manufacturer of garden buildings, is returning to its
trade roots with a new management team, a strong
commitment to trade customers and an extensive range of
buildings to offer. A new partnership with Pivotal
Contracts Ltd means that Walton’s can offer an
installation service on many of its products as well as
effective support through Pivotal’s professional trade
sales team.
Commenting on the new relationship, Maurice Price,
Managing Director of Pivotal Contracts, said: “We’ve had
a long-standing relationship with Walton Garden
Buildings and are delighted that this has now developed
into a partnership to support its trade customers. We’re
looking forward to developing business opportunities
together in the future.”
Since Walton’s were acquired by Close Brothers Private
Equity back in February 2005, the company has seen
significant growth.
“Walton Garden Buildings has been around for almost 130
years,” said George Letman CEO, “and our products are
well known in the industry. We’re now focusing on
innovation and additional services that our trade
customers want and need to help their businesses be
successful. We’re delighted to be in partnership with
Pivotal in this new commitment to the future.”
Echoing these comments, Scott Conroy, Commercial Manager
of Walton Garden Buildings, said: “Walton are all about
developing long term partnerships, and we are delighted
that Pivotal have come on board to assist us in
re-establishing ourselves within the trade sector, which
incidentally still accounts for one third of the overall
market.”
Since the buy-out, the company has focused and invested
heavily into service, both pre- and post-delivery, and
now has a fully fledged Customer Contact Centre open
seven days a week. Walton also control there own
nationwide delivery network, with industry beating
lead-times and hold large stocks going into peak season.
“This is all to ensure we can offer as much support to
our trade partners as possible.” Said Scott Conroy.
Walton Garden Buildings manufactures and supplies an
extensive range of garden buildings, from traditional
garden sheds to summerhouse, log cabins and children’s
playhouses, and is a market leader in this sector.
