Stormsaver Ltd - Innovation award success for Stormsaver

There’s a certain irony about it, but as the UK endures the after effects of some of the heaviest rainfall in history, a company that specialises in harvesting and reusing rainwater has won a prestigious award for innovation.
Specialist designer and installer of rainwater reclamation systems, Stormsaver, was last night crowned Nottinghamshire’s Most Innovative Business.
Founded just four years ago, Stormsaver has grown rapidly and its cutting edge systems are regularly specified by over half of the UK’s Top 50 construction companies.
Stormsaver’s bespoke installations capture rainfall on the roof, store it and filter it before feeding the necessary appliances.
Complying fully with health and safety legislation and building regulations, Stormsaver’s pressurised and non-pressurised systems allow clients to demonstrate their environmental credentials and save money at the same time. ASDA’s Scottish distribution centre, for example, has the potential to save £8,000 per annum thanks to its Stormsaver system.
“We’re delighted to have been recognised as an innovative business and one of the best company’s in the East Midlands,” says Sales Director, Lisa Farnsworth. “When we launched the company, we had to spend a lot of time educating people about rainwater harvesting. Now, it’s different. People are so much more aware of their environmental responsibilities and are actively coming to Stormsaver asking for help in conserving water use and money. It’s ironic, that given the vast amount of rain during June, we should receive this award. Nonetheless, we’re very honoured to accept it on behalf of everyone who works for the company and our clients who benefit from our innovation.”
Since its conception, Stormsaver has designed and installed over 300 bespoke systems, across four key sectors: commercial, industrial, education and housing.
The rainwater harvested by the Stormsaver system can be used in a variety of ways, from WC and urinal flushing; laundry; irrigation and landscape watering; cooling and sprinkler systems and vehicle washing.
Award judges praised Stormsaver for the way in which the company embraces innovation within its culture, as highlighted by a care and maintenance package offered to every client for their complete peace of mind.
“We’re passionate about what we do and want to make sure that we have long term relationships with our clients,” added Co-Director, Michael Farnsworth. “That’s why we offer commissioning and maintenance for all our installations and ensure that the systems harvest and reuse as much rainwater as possible, thereby saving our clients the maximum amount of money.”
