Miller Construction - Miller's commitment to staff reflected by
long service
Miller Construction has awarded long service
accolades to eight employees who, between them, rack up
an astonishing 180 years’ service.
In recognition of their hard work and commitment, an
awards ceremony and meal was held at the Cardrona Hotel
in Peebles, where a special presentation was made to
each staff member.
Boasting the longest service were Bill Pilmer, who has
worked for Miller Construction for 40 years, and Peter
Cosgrove who has been with the company for 25 years.
Also receiving awards to mark 20 years of service were
Garry Davidson, Clem Skinner, Chris McCracken, Brian
Fagan, James Walsh and John Murdoch.
Brian McQuade, Joint Managing Director, said "Miller
Construction is committed to providing a positive
working environment for staff and believes the loyalty
shown by the award recipients reflects this."
He said: “Each one of the team recognised has played an
instrumental role in the company throughout their
service and we look forward to working with them for
many years to come."
“The fact that we have so many staff receiving these
awards illustrates a reciprocated commitment from the
company to them and from them to the company."
“Many of those recognised have followed the established
career path that we have created within the company and
are an inspiration to other members of staff."
“The region is now looking forward to another successful
year and celebrating future long service awards.”
