New Product Comar 5P.i. ECO: Advanced Casement Window
System
Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems are proud to
announce that their new casement window system, Comar
5P.i. ECO, exceeds requirements of the stringent
Weather-tightness Test BS 6375.
The rigorous test was conducted at BRE with the
following results. In the air permeability test Comar
5P.i. ECO achieved Class 4 - a category for the best
air-tightness. In the water-tightness test the window
attained Class E750, which means no water leakage
occurred up to and at 750 Pa.
The wind resistance test consisted of deflection,
repeated pressure and safety tests. In the deflection
test Comar 5P.i ECO showed only 2mm at 2400Pa. In the
repeated pressure test, which was carried out 50 times
at 1200Pa, the window was not damaged and showed no
significant increase in air permeability. During the
safety test at 3600 Pa, the Comar 5P.i window remained
closed throughout, no parts detached and the window was
fully operable afterwards.
Comar 5P.i ECO has been designed and economically priced
to perform for today’s market demands. It includes a
55mm and 75mm casement window system, with both cockspur
and shoot-bolt locking options. The shoot-bolt option
has been designed to conform to BS7950 which ensures
that it meets the secured-by-design specification. Comar
5P.i. ECO 75mm system has a featured profile with an
aesthetically pleasing curve to the outer profile that
suits residential applications. To create further design
opportunity, Comar 5P.i. ECO can also be dual colour,
where the internal and external of the window can be
different colours.

to perform, whilst backed up by Comar’s market leading
delivery. Over £4 million of aluminium profile is always
