Hi-Span - Wind Load Calculator CPD goes online

Hi-Span has committed to online CPD for Its ‘Guide BS 6399 -2 Wind Code Calculation. It explains how to obtain wind loads for the design of cold rolled sections within structural buildings, utilising the BRE’s BREVe2 software. Wind speeds in 12 directions around a site can be processed with dynamic pressure clauses for any point on the National Grid. Altitude, distance to sea / town, and obstacle spacings and heights can also be added if necessary.
The final results are laid out in clear, easy to follow diagrams, for the four relative faces of the structure to provide a complete wind code analysis.
As with many CPD providers, keeping up with demand for personal presentations, particularly to small and inaccessible practices posed an ongoing problem. The online presentation enables anyone (and not just architects) to access it on demand. Each individual’s history of CPD learning online is recorded for practice administration, while validation is obtained by an interactive examination containing questions which are changed randomly. Complete with voice-over, it will be available either through www.cpduk.co.uk or www.hi-span.co.uk
