ACO Building Drainage - ACO launches stylish wet room drainage systems

Barrier free creativity
Drainage systems specialist, ACO Building Drainage, has launched two new versatile, contemporary drainage products specifically for wetroom applications. The ACO shower channel and the shower gully system are styled to complement the minimalist wetroom environment, allowing specifiers, designers and installers greater freedom to fully exploit the creative opportunities available in barrier-free bathrooms.
“A wetroom is a definitive style statement. The concept allows a minimalist approach to design; creating both space that affords freedom of movement and a platform that highlights the unique aesthetic qualities of the surrounding furniture,” says Martin Fairley, Division Director at ACO Building Drainage. “Attention to detail is vital in such environments and drainage plays a significant role. It must have the capacity to remove all standing water quickly, easily integrate with the structural fabric of the wetroom and, not least, be styled to harmonise with the overall finish.”
The shower channel is a linear drainage system designed to provide optimum performance and a watertight seal for both tiled and flexible sheet wetroom floor finishes. Manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance and hygiene performance, all are fitted with standard sized inlet and outlet connectors. There are five lengths available – from 700mm to 1200mm – each with 80mm wide visible grating, with six grating pattern options. The shower channel requires 153mm available floor depth for level installation, but a low-level unit is available that requires just 122mm.
Compact and corrosion-resistant, the shower gully system is ideal for shallow depth wetroom installations. There are two configurations: one for tiled and one for flexible sheet floor finishes. Both are manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel and fitted with electropolished gratings. There are ten 150mm square grating options on the shower gully tile floor model, and two 150mm diameter options on the sheet floor version.
Both units are available with either horizontal or vertical spigots that couple to supplied universal waste connectors. The shower gully provide an exceptional drainage capacity of 1.2 l/s
Both the shower channel and gully systems are fitted with removable foul air traps that are easily accessed directly beneath the surface gratings simplifying cleaning & maintenance.
