L A Husbands Ltd - Restaurant Hat Trick for Husbands
Birmingham lift company Husbands has served
up three new contracts for food service lifts with top name
restaurants.
The Halesown company has provided three lifts for Gary Rhodes
newest restaurant in Dublin – Rhodes D7, one for the famous
Garrick Club in London’s West End and four food service lifts
for Las Iguanas in London which is part of the popular Latin
American style eatery chain.
At Rhodes D7 Husbands has installed large 100 kilo lifts – two
of which link the kitchen to three floors of the restaurant and
the third links four floors - in Gary Rhodes’ first Irish venue
which opened recently.
The company has also fitted a second 50 kilo lift into the
Garrick Club. However, according to Husband’s owner and managing
director Keith Holmes, it is the installation at Las Iguanas,
which offered the largest challenge, as he explains:
“Las Iguanas is built into old railway arches overlooking the
London Eye. This obviously gives it a style and interest all of
its own but did present a few issues because of the restrictions
of arched roofs on the lift installations. We were able to
manufacture bespoke lifts to complement the interior and to
operate effectively within the physical restrictions of the
site.”
