Group Two - RoboWatch protects Murphy Group’s development sites
Keeping construction sites secure and intruder-free
is a priority for all construction companies, especially
in light of the continuing rise in plant and material
theft. No one knows this more than contractors J. Murphy
and Sons Ltd.
RoboWatch from Group Two has been used for site
protection for Murphy for the last 18 years.
“We have found the RoboWatch system from Group Two to be
very reliable and have used their services in many of
our developments throughout the country,” explains
Varnavas Christofi, Murphy Group security manager.
“RoboWatch, is far cheaper than a security guard and
provides peace of mind, knowing that the construction
and compound area is getting round-the-clock protection
from a state-of-the-art security system.”
-more-
RoboWatch sees everything; it monitors all areas of a
construction site 24/7 and costs up to 70% less than a
manned equivalent.
Even better, RoboWatch will never take a break, will not
fall asleep on the job, will record everything for
future reference and complies with current legislation
and insurance requirements.
As well as being cheaper than other surveillance systems
on the market, RoboWatch has an added advantage over the
competition. RoboWach uses multiple fixed cameras rather
than the traditional PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) cameras
used by competitors.
Using fixed cameras ensures the entire site is
constantly monitored and nothing is missed. By contrast,
PTZ cameras can sometimes fail to spot intruders - by
the time the camera is alerted to trespassers and moves
into position the perpetrators have vacated the site,
leaving the contractors with no visual evidence to
secure convictions.
In addition, RoboWatch uses high speed broadband
connections where available and will only use GSM or
dial-up when the infrastructure does not allow. All
cameras are fitted with ultra-sensitive motion sensors;
the slightest movement transmits an instant signal to
Group Two’s technologically advanced control room, where
a highly trained team of operators can instantly view
live pictures of the site. As soon as intruders are
detected, the controller responds with an audio
communication, warning them to leave immediately whilst
simultaneously alerting the local police.
The central control room has its own independent power
supply, secure telephone communication links and is
fully fortified against outside attack. In the unlikely
event that the main monitoring station is evacuated, a
satellite station can be up and running within minutes
to ensure security monitoring is not compromised. Group
Two’s security systems are checked a least four times a
day to ensure they are working correctly at all of their
sites.
RoboWatch keeps one step ahead of the game through
continual research and development and by investing in
the latest technology. This makes RoboWatch a market
leader in the UK security sector, being the preferred
choice for many contractors.
Most importantly RoboWatch is typically half the cost of
a security guard and twice as effective.
“We have used RoboWatch for many years and are
continually impressed by the impeccable level of service
they provide,” says Varnavas Christofi, Murphy Group
security manager. “We recommend RoboWatch for any
contractor looking to improve their on-site security.”
