Clark-Drain Ltd - New increased load composite manhole cover
Clark-Drain has launched a new composite
manhole cover to complement its extensive polypropylene range
which currently dominates the UK marketplace. Available in both
450mm square and 450mm diameter, the new covers offer
contractors, stockists and specifiers even more installation
solutions. These products represent a marked move away from
traditional cast iron products to the new generation plastics
and composites, which have inherent advantages.
With a load rating of 125 kN, the composite covers are
lightweight for easy installation and yet are high in strength,
rated at 12.5 tonne loading suitable for driveway, car park,
shopping arcade and footpath applications. From a safety
viewpoint, the slip resistant surface finish of the covers
ensures maximum grip. Corrosion resistant properties promote a
longer working life, with less waste, the design is very
environmentally friendly.
