Brand-Rex unveils new line of low profile slimline outlets designed for ease of installation and improved performance

In today’s demanding market customers have aesthetics and functionality at the forefront of their minds. They want better designed products that complement and enhance the modern office environment. The latest addition to the Gigaplus product range, from leading structured cabling solution manufacturer Brand-Rex, the new Cat 5e Slimline outlet products, delivers exactly this.
The products feature a new contact array which lifts the electrical performance of the installed link and improves transmission performances. A new ‘low profile’ space saving form, which makes these jacks one of the least intrusive in the office space, is one of the easiest products to install - in both wall and floor boxes.
Three versions of the new low profiles are available:
· a 50 x 19mm deep outlet which is ideal when back-box depth is restricted
· an angled version with a 25mm depth and
· a 37 x 22mm version, specifically designed for floor boxes which have limited space available for cable termination, which is 19mm deep.
These products, available in black or white UTP or screened, are fully compatible with all Brand-Rex UK and Continental UNI style faceplates and they carry a label with removable cover for port identification. The universal IDC takes both LSA and 110 tools, an IDC stuffer cap is provided to further secure the termination if desired and cable entry is provided at the rear or top to provide maximum flexibility upon installation.
The products meet and exceed the ISO/IEC, CENELEC and EIA/TIA Class D/Category5e performance requirements and are fully backwards compatible to lower classes and interoperable with other standards compliant products. The components feature an impressive 7 dB headroom on NEXT at 100 MHz which give the installed link an excellent performance.
The packaging has also been redesigned in to a 12 pack vacuum formed tray with installation instructions printed on the reverse of the packaging to improve outlet protection in transit, reduce packaging waste and ease installation.
