Fakro GB Ltd - Unusual criteria for choosing Fakro FTP Roof Windows by Osborne Homes
32 triple glazed FTP roof windows from
Fakro, in 3 sizes, have been used by Osborne Homes on its
development in Westcott, near Guildford. Nothing unusual
perhaps, but in this case each window was tested in situ to meet
stringent acoustic, air leakage and thermal performance
criteria. The results were the best ever obtained.
Brian Wilson of Osborne Homes commented, “The standard set for
the roof windows required them to be virtually airtight. The
Fakro windows performed beyond our expectations, and utilised
timber from a FSC accredited source. Fakro’s Service Division
was also on hand to provide advice on site throughout
installation, as a part of which we also fitted their XDS
Linings”.
