Dimplex welcomes smokers to the great outdoors
With a wide range of products designed for
heating in the commercial setting, Dimplex are helping to ease
the change to a smoke-free environment with efficient electric
heaters for welcoming outdoor spaces.
Electric quartz heaters, such as the new Dimplex OPH
wall-mounted patio heater, produce a highly directional beam of
short wavelength radiant heat, which covers a given area
extremely effectively. People within the beam’s range feel the
heat instantly, literally within seconds, in the same way as
they do with the sun’s rays.
Depending on model, mounting height and angle, a heated area of
up to 10m2 from a single unit is achievable, meaning that even
large outdoor spaces can enjoy a comfortable warmth, with the
OPH’s warm glow demonstrating clearly to customers that there is
heating in operation, to tempt them into the outdoor area.
Running costs are minimised as the OPH doesn’t raise the overall
ambient temperatures, so the heat doesn’t get blown away and
wasted. The range allows for extra economy of use with the
addition of timers or PIR detector switches that will
automatically switch the unit/s on or off, depending on whether
the area below the heater is occupied.
As an alternative to the OPH, Dimplex’s CXD range of ceramic
radiant heaters uses similar technology, but doesn’t have the
warm glow effect. These units heat up effectively in just a
couple of minutes, using long wavelength infrared heat to heat
people and objects within the throw, not the air around them.
Ideal for situations where robust but discreet heating is
required, they are also compatible with the Dimplex PIR detector
for close management of running costs.
