Polyflor Ltd - Polysafe makes it a Royal “double” for Halstead
Top-selling Polysafe sheet vinyl safety
flooring has been presented with the 2007 Queen’s Award for
Enterprise in the category for continuous product innovation and
development – making it two in a row for James Halstead and
Polyflor, who last year won the Queen’s Award for outstanding
achievement in international trade.
“This is tremendous news” commented Group Chairman, Geoffrey
Halstead. “I am proud that the Polysafe range has been granted
this prestigious award A great deal of effort goes into creating
and maintaining products of the very highest standard and this
recognition is a credit to the hard work of all involved – and
of course, the support of our customers.”
The award noted that “over a number of years, the company has
successfully introduced a series of new and improved products
meeting the conflicting demands of whole-life slip resistance,
cleanability and strong design.” The success of Polysafe has
been built on a pioneering tradition – first to offer Agrément
guarantee on the 2mm product, first patented low maintenance
safety floor with Supratec, first to guarantee slip resistance
for life and leading the way in offering products that combine
performance with good design.
Over the decades, Polysafe has been laid in some notable places,
ranging from the new £175million Northern Stand at Melbourne
Cricket Ground through major healthcare and educational
establishments worldwide to the Big Brother House, the Centenary
Hall at Stamford Bridge and the kitchens at London’s Rhodes 24
restaurant.
